B.K.'S CREATIVE CATERING OPENS NEW CULTURAL DISTRICT BANQUET CENTRE

Today's Date --February 9, 1998

FORT WORTH—Brenda McCollum, owner of B.K.'s Creative Catering, opened the new Cultural District Banquet Centre at 275 University Blvd. in the heart of Fort Worth's Cultural District on February 9.

In addition to offering full service catering facilities and a selection of fresh and frozen gourmet foods to go, the 16,000-square-foot business will feature three banquet rooms and a dining room to meet many catering requirements. Each room has been designed to provide the comfort and ambience so needed at those all important catered affairs and is ideal for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, bar and bat mitzvahs, company parties, corporate lunches, seminars, private parties and family reunions.

The Kimbell Room and the Carter Room can each seat up to 256 persons. The Modern Room can seat up to 240 persons. Or, the three rooms may be opened up into one large room that seats a maximum of 700 persons. The O'Keeffe Room, a smaller dining room that seats up to 36, is also available.

'Y thought there was a real need in the community for a public facility to hold catered events," Ms. McCollum says. "This location is easily accessible to the Cultural District, downtown Fort Worth and the mid-cities and, very importantly, has more than adequate parking."

Ms. McCollum has 28 years experience in food service, and has owned and operated B.K.'s Creative Catering since 1984. She was at her previous facility at 5132 Camp Bowie Blvd. for six years. While Ms. McCollum is known for her Southwestern cuisine and has studied extensively with a number of well-known chefs at the Santa Fe School of Cooking in Santa Fe, N.M., and in Japan, she and her expert staff can produce a wide variety of culinary delights.
